Known issues; can't be fixed. The Kiosk version will likely work better.

I´ve always been wondering what this "kiosk-version" means...is that just some kinda hacked rom, or somethin´ ?

The Kiosk version is some kind of demo version it's the version you usually play in shops (afaik) (dunno if it was released before the actual game or something...)

I found the Kiosk version, but I haven't gotten very far. In the level where you free Vela, there seems to be a missing shootable switch. Maybe this is as far as the kiosk version gets? Dunno. Now I'm curious.

Hmmm....so why are those kiosk versions better working than the normal ones?...is that always the case?
I know only of the JFG-Kiosk version and that one of Excite Bike 64...

Good question. I don't know that either. A wild guess is protection aimed specifically at emulation; protection which was not in place in the kiosk version.

yep but (im guessing also, i havent checked if this is copy protection) its aimed at backup units, not likely emulation. Also i can't ban that guy :/

You guys are too harsh on someone who's posted 4 times total and 4 times in 1 thread. Come on guys :) Just ignore him and remind him of the rules. Banning someone with 4 posts? If that happen, half of you would have been ban already.

sorta goin back to cobra95, yea, there is a panel missing in the room with the giant windows that u destroy with the conveyor belt. it sucks, u cant do too much without that panel,( cant beat the level). i looked all over like a fool and finally looked at an online guide or two, and seeing that they said it was there and it wasnt, its definately isnt, trust me, guess i gotta look for a new game to play now (www.exostudios.com, hahah)

I thought it was missing right away, because I have the real N64 cart. (It's one of my favorite games, period--on anything). But it's been at least a year since I've played JFG, and I didn't trust my memory. Guess that confirms my suspicions. Now all we need is for some smart hacker to marry the movement code of the kiosk version to the ROM of the full game. That's if the problem can't be solved with more accurate emulation, of course.
Oh, and that does make more sense, Smiff, esp. considering the state of N64 emulation and PC hardware when JFG first came out.

You have a digital camera you care to lend me? Even a polaroid will do, since I have a scanner. I'd be happy to take a pic of my wall-o-games and the 4 consoles I have plugged into my video stuff right now.
