Does anyone have a good configuration? I'm trying to get all the buttons straight, its a little messed up right now. Thanks!

I too have a controller that is identical to a PS2 controller. Mine is called "Logitech Dual Action". I've played Zelda:OoT with it and I think it works great. Here's my key config:

Analog stick: Left joystick
C Buttons: Right Joystick (up as C Up, etc)
2: A
3: B
6: R
5: L
7: Z
Start: Start
Select: Select

The 2 and 3 buttons are exactly where the X and O buttons are. My 6, 5, and 7 buttons are like where L1, L2, and R2 are.

Hope I helped :/. I might have goofed something though....

I use exactly the same configuration (I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2). Works great, and easy to adjust for different games.

it's the same. The n64 analog's stick make it the controller's left one, for the C buttons, use the right one. L and R can be l1 and r1, and Z can be R/L2.

The digital pad with the digital pad, (duh!) and the A/B buttons the cross and the square.

If you PS1 controller doesnn't have the two analog sticks, then you are doomed.

Analog Stick: Left Analog Stick
C-Buttons Right Analog Stick
Square: A
X: B
L1: L
R1: R
Start: Start
L2 or L2: Z

Oops. Died again.
If you don't want to use the right-analog stick for your C-Buttons, you can do what I did as a backup. (This will assume PSx controller is used)

All directions mapped to the Digipad (Up is A-up, Left is A-Left, ect). 90% of the N64 games rely on the thumb pad ANYWAY, so you don't need to make up inputs for the digipad if you don't want to. You WILL lose the ability to "walk" properly though. That is where you are seriously doomed.

A is mapped to "X". B is mapped to "[]". Then Map C-up to "/\" and C-down to "O". C-left is "L1". C-right is "R1".

Since select isn't used, I make that the "L" button for N64 games. "L2" becomes the Z button. And lastly the R button is mapped to "R2".

THAT will let you play OoT flawlessly, even on the PSx controllers without analog. You WON'T be able to have the best control in walking/running, but it does work.

I use an actual ps2 controller, and I've found 2 configs that work for me.

Control Stick: Left stick
D-pad: D-pad
C up- Triangle
C down - X
C left- []
C right - O
Start - start
L - Select
A - L1 (or R1)
B - L2 (or R2)
R - R1 (or L1)
Z - R2 (or L2)

This works well for me :)
