Zelda OOT Problem

yo im new to this so can someone please help me. whenever i lad up zelda oot after i press x all i get is a white screen with the audio music in the background. i dont know what my grapics or sound card specs are so can you recommend any plugins or updates that will fix this

need a reply asap cheers!

If you're hearing music just fine, then chances are your sound card is sufficient for the job. None of the less, it would be best that you find out what sound card u have, and especially what your vid card is, so that veterans here could give you the best plugin suggestion. It's more cumbersome to list plugins for each range of video cards (e.g. 98xx or for "mid-level" vid cards)

Graphics card: Matrox grapics millenium G200 AGP .Sound Card:Yamaha DS1x native audio.Processor: intel pentium 3.Ram:192 MB.

ive updated my driver for my graphics card hopefully that will help.

Hmmm, I'm not too well versed in vid cards so i don't recognize yours, altho I'm not a veteran here either. My suggestion would be to try all 3 default video plugins to see if any of them can produce solid picture.

Be sure to go through the troubleshooting section found in Project 64's help manual to see if that'll solve your problem. Also check the P64's gamefaqs if you haven't alr done so. This is also found in P64's help menu and will provide a list of common issues that are known to occur for Zelda OoT.

Going by your specs, unfortunately, i'm not too surprised to hear you're having problems. Your PC is quite old. It's up there circa 2000, but not today. My previous PC was a P3 550MHz, 128MB RAM, 3dfx 16MB Voodoo3 3000. You may have to try another N64 emu, as i was told P64 doesn't run well on P3 - lowend P4 systems. It didn't even support Voodoo card AFAIK. I would've continued using UltraHLE for N64, but i couldn't even do that since i upgraded that old PC to winXP.

Ive Changed it to the 1.5.2and the sounds a bit clearer and the graphics look a bit smoother{less jerky}but now after i press X i get a black screen instead of a white one. i think,some of you seem to think th esound is my problem,its the graphics that are my problem i get the graphics at the start of the emulation{the little video thing ,before it tells you to press start} but after i press all i get is a black window/screen thingy with the game music in the background.please could someone help as i really want to play this game

P.S.: Yeah i know my pc is rubbish,im planning to get one with: Intel Pentium 4,512mb ram,160 gb hard drive ,17"inch flat screen ,intel 5.1 onboard sound,intel extreme graphics ,good quality keyboard,mouse,and speakers,dvd-rom drive ,dvd re-writer,8-in-1 card reader.

Ok so ive downloaded and changed my graphics plugin to rice's video plugin 6.0.0c and now when i load up the rom after i press x i get this:

allso the sound is allso a bit slow n jerky

ive allso downloaded a goldeneye rom but when i play it quite slow and jerky

Please help[with the zelda problem}need a reply asap cheers!!! :( :)

so how did you get it working? Let onlookers of this thread know. Perhaps it'll help them out too.

As for sound, AFAIK, the default for P64 are Jabo's and Zilmar's. try going to the N64 download section of emuTalk to search, DL, and try other audio plugins. Again, I can't recommend any for your system.

On second thought, as discussed on other forums, for jabo's plugin, you may have to enable "sync game to audio" (or was it "sync audio to game"? At any rate, it's the only option u'll see like that). The way it's implemented puts a noticeable hit in performance on many systems, but at least u can see whether or not it's worth it. Not that this option is NOT global. U have to set/unset it for each ROM.

i just pressed x on the keyboard and had 2 muck about pressing on the verious other blury parts of texts until it come on {the game} .
btw does any1 kbow how to use the c button weapons because i need to use the catapult and duko seeds etc.

bottom 3 C buttons will use weapons. Which one exactly depends on which of those 3 C buttons (if any) u set it to.

those are generally:
Home-up C
End-down C
Delete-left C
Page Down-right C
