Zelda OoT & MM graphics glitch..

Hello everyone! I'm pretty new here..

(not new on the emu, but new in the forum)

I've been fiddling with PJ64 for a while having finished both

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on PJ64 1.4.

In those games there were some graphics glitch like water

transparencies (especially in MM) which I could get around up to

some extent with an option called :

"Change blending mode if invalid for video card"

in the Configure Graphics Plugin section in PJ64 1.4.

In the new PJ64 1.5, I've noticed that that option has been

taken away and now there are other options, but I cannot

get the graphics back to the state I had with PJ64 1.4.

Where, on PJ64 1.5, can I find that same option?

(Normal blending doesnt work)

On the graphics issue, to be more specific, on Ocarina of Time

when you get an item from a big chest you see light coming out

of the chest (-->1.4) but on 1.5, I only see black shadows.

Also, on Majora's Mask, all the grass (in the Clocktown, especially

North Town) is black..

I hope someone can fix this..

Great speed by the way.. Excellent work guys!!

video card perhaps

Some of the effects supported via the 1.5 video plug-in require certain kinds of hardware support. In other words, if you have an older card some of the effects will be missing. You might want to stick with the PJ1.4 plugin for some games.

Also, there are a number of known graphics effects glitches in the LofZ games in 1.5, check the FAQ and help.

Mmmmm....Beeeeerrrr
your graphics card seems to be the problem. if you need to use change blending mode, then your card might be under the min. specs for you to get good graphics. the change blending tab was removed in 1.5. don't ask me why.

It was removed because jabo changed to make place for more complex gfx. I'm not quite sure but, i think that the new gfx just requires better hardware, and won't work on old or something...
so it was removed. Switch back to 1.4 to use it...maybe it looks better. You can even try glide64+evoodoo, or just upgrade your gfx card.

yeah.. you guys may be right..

my spec is just basic:

P3 800/ 256 MB/ geforce2 plus i'm running all this on a laptop

i've already finished both games on PJ64 1.4..

i was just hoping if i could get the same graphics result on

1.5 due to its speed enhancement.

but oh well those problems are minor on OoT..

you get really obsessed with these things when you want

"perfect" emulation without having considered what you

already have..

again great work jabo..

No, i mean the attachment. It has nothing to do with emulation whatsoever, though gta3 vice city does look cool.

I think you mean GTA: Vice City as it is not related to GTA3 as it is set in the 80's. I am just using the good people at EmuTalk for webspace! :p

I'm not bragging about a damn thing. It's there so if anyone needs to know them (such as if i ask a question) i wont have to type them over and over. sheesh.
