the cheat just changes the colour for that set of poligons then it changes the variable related to tunics, just like adult link. Its all the same code, its just not suposta be activated when you a kid

Remember in the old times that Link looked white? The texture of link's clothing is all white. The color is added using the Color Combiner and Primitive color. So it's just a change of value when it loads the CC mode. In theory, you could make Link yellow without changing his uniform characteristics.
