did some digging around today and couldn't find this anywhere on the forums so here goes. (there is actually something pretty cool that i figured out with this--at least i thought it is cool)

The following cheats work individually but add masks in pairs. Here are the pairs and their addresses and values.

811E6BD8 3E39 Postman’s & Bunny Hood
811E6BDA 4745 Blast & Stone
811E6BDC 4032 Great Fairy’s & Deku
811E6BDE 3A46 Keaton & Bremen
811E6BE0 3842 All night & Don Gero’s
811E6BE2 4833 Mask of Scents & Goron
811E6BE4 3C3D Romani & Circus Leader’s
811E6BE6 373F Kafei’s & Couple’s
811E6BE8 3634 Truth & Zora
811E6BEA 4341 Kamaro’s & Gibdo
811E6BEC 3B44 Garo’s & Captain’s
811E6BEE 4935 Giant’s & Fierce Deity’s

DISABLING AND ENABLING:
you can also create a simple options box of "Enable" and "Disable" (or as i prefer, "Yes" and "No" buy simply replacing the value with ????. Then adding the correct value in the Options box, you can turn them on and off.

Example: add new cheat >
Name: Blast & Stone Masks
Code: 811E6BDA ???? Options: 4745 Enable
FFFF Disable

ONE MASK AT A TIME?
Here's the cool part. you can enable just one of the masks by replacing the one you don't want with the letters FF in the value portion of the code. Like this:
Name: Blast & Stone Masks
Code: 811E6BDA ???? Options: 4745 Enable
47FF Blast Mask Only
FF45 Stone Mask Only
FFFF Disable

or you could just create a seperate code for each. you can't make an overall code like "Masks" with the separate options for each mask though. the addresses are all different.

anyway, this little finding is now safely on this board for anyone's future cheat creation...

Mad Tiger X

Mad as in insane, not angry.

The disabling/enabling/single mask isn't all that cool, and can kinda be assumed, but hey, it helps sometimes :bouncy: . Thanks, I'll be using this on new accounts :king: . I wonder what happens when you put a mask on at the beginning as deku kid...hmm...*strokes imaginary goatee*...

actually that's the way i tested it--the masks on the deku kid stage. you can actually take the deku mask off as soon at it is given to you. all the masks seem to work normally at that stage. you can even get out to hyrule and go on about the game as if you already got the ocarina.

i was really frustrated with the whole kafei sidequest and was only interested in this cheat to avoid that portion of the plot, but i figured "hey why not share the wealth?"

i have used the disable the mask a couple of times... sometimes i like the actual reward of earning the mask rather than the overly easy method of clicking the cheat. i mean c'mon, it's fun to win at the Gorman track and to do the whole Romano ranch UFO thing... etc. but when you just did all that on one user it's kinda nice to click a button on the other user that you're working on at the moment.

sometimes i'll even enable the disable on one mask, then save the game, restarting just so i can do the same portion of the quest again faster than before. i've been able to get the mask of scents before 9am on day 1 by doing this.

don't get me wrong, i totally agree with you Mad Tiger X. i just got tired of waiting forever in gameplay to get the couples mask, then going back in time to wait until 10 AM to use it with the mayor to get a measly heart piece.

i'd really like to get a working non-Gameshark based code to work as a time of day modifier. none of the gameshark ones i've tried for that particular cheat have worked!

perhaps someone out there can help me out in that regard.
