OK, since I own a gold Zelda 1.1 cart.
The music in the Fire Temple is THE SAME AS 1.0, in 1.2 is when they changed it.
Ganondorf's blood is red in 1.1, 1.2 it's green.
And (IMO) the reason they changed the Moon and Star GFX, is because it looks almost the same as Turkey's flag.
And last Zelda MQ is not 1.3, the only Zelda 1.3 is the other game on the GCN disc.
Was there even a 1.1 gold cart? The golden version was only for people who pre-ordered it, wasn't it? So...how can there be a 1.1 version gold cart? :plain: I'm confused...

I'm nearly certain there is no 1.1 Gold Cart. :plain:

V1.0 is the gold cartridges of the game. V1.1 are some very late versions of the gold cart and some early versions of the grey.

?????????????????????????
If I'm not wrong, wasn't this just sent to pre-ordereres? Did Nintendo realize there was a mistake before all who had pre-released got their copies and sent some 1.1 to them or what?
I just don't get it...

First off, mine cart is Gold and it's ver 1.1.
Second, Mine was a late order from Nintendo, and I was told it was going to be a gray cart not a gold cart, so since the offer sad gold and since I was getting a gray instead of gold, I got a better deal on it. So for $75, I also got the sound track CD for the game.

What you just said makes no sense. Your paragraph says, from the sense I can make of it, that the offer was for a gold cart but since you ordered late? you got a grey cart and a bonus cd. So where is this gold cart? :plain:

Nintendo stopped using 1.0 BEFORE they stopped selling Gold Carts! If indeed you had a 1.1 Gold, it would be EXTREMELY rare.

Sorry, I didn't make any sense at all.

So lets just start over again:

When I order my Zelda:OoT cart from NOA (Nintendo of America), I order it a bit to late, so I was told I was getting a gray cart, so since I was getting a gray cart not gold:)cry:) I was then told I would (as a bonus) get the sound track CD for free.
But when I received it, it had letter form NOA saying that I was told that I was getting a gary cart and the CD, but they found some gold cart's, and that I got a gold cart instead of a gray, and since I was also told that I was getting the CD for free, I still got it for free.
So for $75 I got this:

Zelda:OoT gold gamepak
Zelda:OoT sound track CD
Players guide
One year sub to Nintendo Power

So if you do the math, it was a grate deal.
Note on the math: 75-19.95=55.05 55.05-10 (about the price for the CD) =45.05 45.05-15 (about the price of the PG) =30.05
So I think 30.05 for a new (hard to find) N64 game (at the time) is a very good price.

But at the time I didn't know it was a 1.1 cart, so on the Internet I read on how to do a self test to find out what ver it is, so I did the test and it came out to be a 1.1 cart not 1.0 (because I can't do the fishing pound, hover boots trick, but in the 1.0 ROM I have I can do this).

(!)I hope this makes some sense to you(!)

That explains how you got it...
so, nintendo actually made gold carts after starting to sell grey carts? That must've been it?

I'm guessing they had to make some more gold carts due to heavy preordering ;)
(just like what happened with the bonus disc for WW)

Is Zelda Master quest playable on project 64, If so can someone please send me a link to the game via email. <email removed>

thanx very much you will be greatly rewarded!!!

Buhbye, Sukkie. :plain:

You must be one of a few very people to have a 1.1 Gold Cart. It is indeed extremely rare. As are 1.0 Grey Carts, but they exist too. Unfortunately, 1.0 is the most desirable version, so I don't see your cart being worth anything special. Sorry for doubting you, I do believe you, but as I said this is all news to me.

I don't care if it's worth $0.30.:satisfied , I still play it, and it's one of my favorite games.

Here in Brazil, Nintendo sold only gold carts and we gotten a six months delay at that time ( now we are rih]ght on time) so i wonder if our carts have other versions than 1.0.

I don't know about Brazil's gold carts, but hear in the US there are three versions (I think you know this), this is the site I used to find out what ver I have.

This site may not help you, but it helped me.

I just wanted to point out that Master Quest was developed before Ocarina of Time and not the other way around as many have suggested. Master Quest was in fact destined to be the first game for the 64DD but after some time the big N saw that the 64DD was not going to meet their sales expectations and decided to convert Zelda to cart format... also beta-testing of the Zelda game (MQ version) was found to be un-even... with easier parts in the middle, too difficult in the beginning, and various other flaws that affected the flow of the game. Because of these 2 things they decided to build an alternate version which turned out to be a much more consistent product and ultimatley became the OoT that was released for N64. Since the 64DD was still going into production and since they had the game ready anyway, Nintendo decided to sell the MQ as an expansion pack for Zelda only playable on the 64DD (this is why its partially unfinished, because the original is required and because they overlap). Since the sales of 64DD were extremely limited the expansion was never released untill the compilation on GameCube.

How wrong can you be :D
The Master QUest clearly uses the OOT aspects in a way that can only be described as "making more out of what was already there" - for example, bombing the gravestones in Dodongo's Cavern, the way that Jabu Jabu's Belly has the cows inside, or the way that there are invisible enemies at times...
The Master Quest was finished before MM was released if I remember rightly, because Nintendo announced it's completion, but never bothered to release it :satisfied

MQ != Ura Zelda!!!

I don't know why SO many people have such a (mis)belief. It requires no disk drive, has nothing "additional," and doesn't even require an EXPANSION PACK. Seriously, think people.

CLSugarman said:
now the question is, was MQ complete b4 or after 1.2

Well, technically MQ was made after ver 1.2.
URA for 64DD, I don't know?

Edit: because MQ was recompiled after 1.2 (hint: no star + moon on anything (I know it's the same image), Fire Temple music, and green blood).

Hey All!

I just wondering, has anyone got this glitch shown below? (Hopefully the attachment worked)

My settings for 1964 v0.8.5 are:

Video: Jabo's Direct3d6 v1.5.1
(With Emulate Primary and Emulate Clear Enabled)

Sound: Azimer's Audio Plugin v0.40 beta 2
(Buffer Size: Less, Enabled Audio Fix, Stop Sound When Paused and Sync Gameplay to Audio)

Input: N-Rage's DirectInput8 v2 1.80a

How can I fix it?
