Any card should be better than the onboard p.o.s. you are using right now, i had an intel card for years (i740) and had about the same problems you have, the pics you posted show the card running out of texture memory, see if there is any fix in the bios for this, maybe a setting, you could also update "flash" your bios & see if this fixes the prob.

If going for a newer card remember: 3dfx IS OUT OF BUSSINESS, they are great cards , but driver support for these are nonexistant. Try an nvidia chipset, a tnt or mx card won't set u back much $$$. --Some of these cards can be bought at ebay or as oem replacement parts for very little cash.

Homemade & trird party software, do you call that RELIABLE support?? Do not get me wrong, i have around a working vodoo 2 & vodoo 3, they are great cards, but their time is past due. These cards do not work properly w/ most of the new games out there and require a driver change from game to game.

erm didnt i say not enough texture memory? stick with nvidia -they are the king! i payed £75 quid for my geforce 4 and its as fast as i need it to be
(not sure what that is in dollars)

edit - actually i think it was £79.99

79.99 pounds.. well I think pound is like 2 to 1 at the dollar (just a guess.. ) so that woudl be around $160.. sounds like a GF4 mx.. it's just a Geforce 2 with quicker memory and higher core clock rate..

Not that there is anything wrong with that.. just don't believe you have a geforce 4 if you have an mx version.. It is technically the same (with the addition of some additional T&L engine I think) as a Geforce 2..

read my specs geforce 4 440mx!
isnt that clear enough?

anyway with my processor ist more than fast enough whatever i through at it
- which is exactly my point. why would you need to spend more?

oh and its more like 0.75 ponds to the dollar so that makes it closer to $100

Anyone with high enough specs and the FPS limiter will see 60 VI/s (NTSC) or 50 VI/s (PAL). The game itself actually renders at 18~20 FPS. Same deal with OoT. That's exactly what I get.

Take my advice, get a GF3TI200. The chip has superior instructions to a GF4MX, and can be overclocked to the same speed as a GF3TI500 and above. And now that the 4's have been out for a while the 3's should be dirt cheap.

My overclocked TI200 has never ceilinged on any game, and there are no GFX errors caused by the card in emus. Texture mem is not an issue, 64 MB of 550MHz DDR is plenty.:bunny:

For me, it's running beyond 60 VI/s if speed limiter is not on, although, it has problems to keep speed in town (it's around 55 VI/s).

I get 50-60 fps when ever the screen goes black. Like walking to the sections of clock town. When I actually play its around 20 and it gets slower on occasion. Is it possible to overclock the Intel 82810? Or would it even help?

Mmmmm....Beeeeerrrr
It wouldn't help much since it is misssing a lot of features needed for proper emulation. The reason I think that it is slow is that there is only about 11 MB of memory for that thing to use.
