Zelda 64 Problem

Thanks to my keyboard, it is impossible to get trhough this game. In the water temple, you are supposed to shoot with the longshot to hit a thing. But it is impossible to aim, because if i click upwards, the crosshair jumps higher than the target. If i click downwards, the crosshair is below the target again.
So everyone has this problem?

Yes, it's a problem for anyone using a keyboard. Either get yourself an analog controller, or use N-Rage's input plugin which has modifiers to work around the limitations of digital controls.

Easily fixed- With no extra cost!

You can set PJ64 to use your mouse as the joystick. I know it's very accurate, because I used it for perfect dark, so that I could play like any old fps pc game. The mouse will have godlike accuracy. Just be sure that you using the correct plug-in, before you whine that you can't do it. I *believe* it is... NRage's Direct Input...:sly:

Hehe, all you kbd users.. I have a usb controller that's an exact replica of a PSX controller, even with the dual analog.. And you know what? It works /perfectly/ as a 64 controller ^^

Buuuut, for all you with a little bit of money [as in around $20], you can pick up a controller converter here, where you can use real n64 controllers on your comp http://www.zophar.net/store/items.phtml?n64-acc

I experienced the same thing, but fortunately I soon found out how to work around it with my digital controller. I assume you mean the place where you have to be very quick about shoting your hook since the way will close in between the arrow shots?

The key to all kinds of bulls-eye targeting is the Z-button (targeting button). If you press it you'll be able to move a little slower sideways, so move in position x-wise with it first. Then keep it pressed at the same time(!) as the Hookshot button. Then aim over the target and then stop moving your aim. The aim (red hookshot dot) will now move downwards and pass by the target much more accurate than you can aim by yourself. Now it's just a matter of letting the Hookshot shoot off at the moment where the aim is at the right spot. Good luck.

This also work in other places, such as the Lost Woods child Link targeting for a bigger bag of ammo.
