Your speed in Melee..

Well I got the Melee rom a few days back and I ran it on my 1337 comp.

I've got an ATI Radeon 9800 PRO (All-In-Wonder) and the rest follows suit.

But after disabling pixel shaders, I'm still getting a max speed of... say... 15-20FPS in the character selection menu and 5-15FPS in the game.

What speeds have you people achieved? What things can I do to make it run AS FAST AS POSSIBLE???

Just another thread to close... it seems. You can't run meele more than 15fps, let's say that that is one of the game's that's quickler than another NOT PLAYABLES( in the mean of slow) So you have to be happy with what you have. Live with it, or don't live with dolphin.

What's the problem with it the game? I didn't quite understand the post.

Will it improve later on or is it going to be like this for a long time?
Does it matter which file I use, PAL NTSC or something?

The emulator is experimental and will not run the game fullspeed. That is it. There are no special miracle settings to get running more than about 15fps.

15 ?!?!?! Oh my I never get that speed ! Usually I get 7-8 fps and sometimes slower. What is the way to gat that speed ????

That's only in like the menus and what not..

I get like 5-10 in the game. Take off all the pixel shaders in the options, that'll help somewhat.

Do you think later versions will run this game very well?

So well that your head will explode and you wont be able to play it anymore

as for me I get
In Menus:10-20FPS
In Character select:20-25FPS
In Movies:3-7FPS
In Game:around 7FPS

movies: 4-5 fps
menu-14-16 fps
character select:around 25 fps
ingame: 8-10 without shaders
7-8 with shaders

I think new version will run Smash Bros. Melee speeder and with better graphic ( Ah please don't talk about new dolphin. I really cant wait. )

I enabled Use Dyanrec And it Improved the Speed Great!
But the problem is when I start Game the Emulator Freezes then stuck there :huh: Any fix?

That'll only give you about a 30% increase though Btw... Knuckles got to the final stage of SSBM in Dolwin. Havn't tried the game over there, but either it runs somewhat playably or Knuckles is just a nut :happy:

So, Is there any fix for that?, If not it is explainable since Gamecube is hard to emulate , I'm just wondering why Dolwin is working in yours
