again a japanese n64 games that seems extremely hard to emulate:

Yakouchuu II - Satsujun Kouru

i'm looking for any tips or better settings for this game:

it suffers a common bugs with nearly all emulator: when you can't get futher than the menu: there is a "loop" bug.

There is 2 possibility to avoid this bug: using Nemu and disabling audio HLE and using 1964 0.7.3 with zilmar audio plugin

But the game is still extremely unstable and it's hard to go futher in game

i'm using Rice (version 5.5.1) plugin for this game. There is a missing ucode at the beginning of the game, may be a movie ... it's completely black and after you can go in game for a while.

notice that is a text adventure :)

if someone have better settings i'd appreciate.

using Nemu and mupen64 soft gfx plugin see a movie
but most import gfx are doesn't show :p

set Disable Video HLE (1) and Disable Audio HLE (2)

i didn't succeed to do it ?

can i have screenhots ? it's just after the choice of your name (i bet i'm unsure of this i don't know japanese), just at the beginning of the game ?

do you avoid the menu loop bug problem with this ? are you using a howebrew dump ?

OMG thanks

i don't understand why mupen gfx plugin can do it (but well this game looks better now :)

you're a genius !!

hey i was thinking with the new rice 6.1 may be the text could be changed in english ? well no it's not a good idea, no emulators is able to make it working with enough stability :(

but with disabling video hle you only can get the movies

here with Rice

oh yes Jelta see the disable hle video (1) feature with intro of starcraft and NBA Courtside 2 - Featuring Kobe Bryant (any gfx plugin) .... You'll be stunned :)

Hi,

this thread has been quite useful for me to get running Yakouchuu 2. I'm using 4 different emulators (PJ64 1.6, 1964, Mupen64, nemu64) trying to see which one can give me a good emulation of Yakouchuu 2. All of the emulators have given me the loop error except 1964. My problem though is that with 1964, the videos are black and unviewable.

I've tried disabling video hle and audio hle with nemu 64 but the emulation gets worse because the video becomes black and I cannot see anything.

Please help me.

Thanks for that bit of info. I'll try looking for another source...

BUT... I can play it in 1964... and I just would rather see the videos than see blank screens. Please help!
