Using Menu: Plugins->Show Combiner Modes, you can dump the current color combiners used in the current game, and you can also modify them to make better ones for your own video cards.
Lemmy's D3D8 plugin does not have a N64 combiner to DirectX combiner compiler, but uses preprogrammed combiner modes (saved in file LemD3DCombine.dat and LemD3DCombine.new ??). I guess Lemmy does not have enough time to work out a automatic combiner compiler, but he does leave an open option for you to program the color combiner for yourself and your own video card.
I have not tried to do so. As there is no documentation and no official supporting from Lac or Lemmy, I guess someone can figure out the syntax, and people can get together to work out better color combiner data file for any perticular video cards.
You need to have basic DirectX color combiner programming knowledge and knowledge of your video card capabilities to do so.
