I need a program for making a backup of my smileys and display pictures, and install them again in another PC with their respective shortcuts. In other words an smiley / display picture importer and exporter for Windows Live Messenger. Do you know anything about guys?

Didn't know Messenger Plus! do that. However I need something that saves all the smiley correctly, including the animated ones. Messenger Plus nowadays is a huge memory sucker.

I've often wondered myself. Perhaps it's possible to copy the folder in %appdata% for messenger to a new computer. Give it a try and see if it works.

I think what doom said would work - i have decent luck copying files/folders like that for other programs... either in \local settings\application data or \application data\ in the document and settings\ user dir

I'm aware of that, I was in a hurry, it was sorta a Freudian Slip.

BTW, the folders that actionally have data, have weird names, and I can't preview them, so I don't know which one is mine...

Just copy 'em all. While browsing through the folders, I found that it contains a folder for "custom emoticons." Though I can't preview, I'll bet they have the smilies you desire. Again, best bet is to copy that entire folder (Msn Messenger) to a new computer.
