Win98 version...?

I'm affraid you can forget that.... Even if Chankast can take one slower pcs in the future I doubt it can run on a pc that still uses win98...

But you can also try win 2000 in the next version or 2003 now. So it's not only for xp

I think you misunderstood,i don`t want to run chankast(or at least it wasnt main topic for this thread) on low-end pcs.And I`m just not very pleased with vision of using win 2002,2003 or XP just to use chankast,frankly i think these platforms are BIG piece of s**t...It eats system resourses like hell...

I did not misunderstand... I'm telling you it also runs on nonxp OSes... Only not yours and some other golden oldies.....

Basically to re-ittertate what Heinster said: if your computer is good enough to run Chankast you shouldn't be using windows 98. Even when I got my pentium III 3 years ago, 98 crashed my system because it wasn't designed with the newer computers in mind. Now I'm glad I upgraded to a P4 so that I can run this emulator at a nice speed.

XP has its share of issues, but I've been using it now for almost 3 years and I must say that Microsoft has finally moved in the right direction. I found though that the framerate in games is a little less than in 98, but the faster your computer is the less you notice. I suggest you search Google for why Windows98 is a terrible OS and upgrade ASAP
