Win2k

[Doomulation]

I'm trying to install win2k pro on my 2nd harddrive (ntsf). On the first one, i have xp (what would you expect? )
Anyway, the thing is that it doesn't let me install at all! Must i install win98 over xp to install 2k? I need it for something...

You cannot install win2k on the second harddrive.

The only choice would be to re-install win98 over xp...upgrade to win2k, do my stuff, upgrade to xp?

why not format c: and install 2k on a clean partition?

Because i don't wish to loose all my data.
The reason to install 2k is to move data off the secondary ntsf drive to c. Then i can format d. Move c data to d. Format c.

can't you just create a partition (fat) on the first drive (size ~1-2 gb)?
and then dualboot it...

Ya, could be done...I'm going to try using ntfs dos drivers first, though! To see if i can get my stuff from there...without needing to install win2k.

1) Remove the drive with Windows XP
2) Make your 2nd drive the master drive on your IDE line
3) Install Windows 2k on the drive
4) After its installed set you drives back to how ther were before (Windows XP Drive connected & Master, Windows 2k connected and slave)
5) Grab a copy of linux and install GRUB
6) Eat some cookies

Hmm, I came up with an idea! Can't I just do another partion and make it primary? Then it would boot from that one, thus installing 2k on it!
