Wierd problem...

[Repeated Post in Netplay Discussion]

Ok... With Project64 1.5 i get the Error...

"Failed to allocate Memory"
click ok
then it comes again...

Then... with Project64k.exe

I get this error
"Not enough memory for Jump Start"
then
"Failed to allocate memory"

but then... when i use
Project64.exe from Project64k folder it opens and has no error at all...

What is going on here.. it works with my other emulators but not Project64 non k and project64k.exe??

Correction... not my "Not enough memory for jump start" which i am more concerned about... i know it has... i have asked many times.. but got no proper advice back yet..

all other advice has failed...

It's just an error with pj64 1.5.1. What version of windows are you using? Did you try using windows 98 compatability? Also make sure that you check what tasks are running and close any unneccessary tasks.

I have tried everything or atleasr 75% of everything.. didnt download them programs to free up virtual memory as i dont think thats the problem wrong with it. I searched the problem and found 2 pages on it and looked through everyone one and did most of them. I know Clements found his problem solved by Compatibility option, another one found a program freeing virtual memory to fix it. All them, i have read through... no luck... i am using 1964 at the minute.... as i want a emulator that supports Kaillera... but still Project64 was much better it felt just different...

Yes, I also got the that error after using PJ64 for some time. Eventhough it loads properly, after like 3 days..it keep giving me that error. I search through the topics and it seems that the problem is that PJ64 can't allocate the proper RAM it needs. However, I don't think that could be the cause, 'cause afterall I have 512 and 400 physical RAM is free. I don't think PJ needs any more. So what I did is disable all my start up programs (start -> run -> msconfig) and for my suprice it works. Then, I enable them..one by one to hopefully find the problem and I did.

The reason for me it gives me that error, is when Windows loads up the Logi_MwX.exe (which is the app for the Logitech Mouse that I have). It gives me that error when I uncheck it (so it doesn't load it)..PJ64 works with no problems. Dunno if this applies to you, but try it. I'll try to update the software so hopefully it fix the app conflic issue.

hey.. just a quick answer if anyone is out there.. where is the pagefile that everyone talks about and what should it be at to play pj64?

Ah.. i found it mine is on.. 672 - 1172MB around.. should that be ok.. its on custom size should i set it to system manage it?

I have 512MB RAM I think

What's the matter with you? :huh: You have to understand that almost all of the new members (n00bs, retards, etc.) that have been banned ARE NOT XBOX. Get over with it. :p

Oh, come on. You believe that every banned person is XBOX without proofs :D (like for example this guy: http://www.emutalk.net/member.php?u=17294 ).
It's easy to find out if someone is a banned member that re-registered just from his actions, like this banned guy:

He couldn't resist having a "Megaman like" avatar and using "Capatalized Letters". :p

EDIT: My point is that it doesn't matter who the banned is and if he re-registered, as long as he folows the rules :)

He's not welcome back... I have reasons other than this post which I would rather not go into here.

Also on this one I'm leaning towards the Xbox connection.. he's certainly low enough.

This other account was actually made before hand... I simply forgot my account details.... so initally i made a new one. Xbox? Don't understand what your 'glabbling' on about but i can asure you... i have dealings with Xbox or anyone named Xbox.
