Why Does PJ64 Need To Access The Net?

I just got an alert from Zone Alarm That Project64.exe was trying to access the Net. Does anyone know why this is? Are they collecting usuage stats or something?

Same thing here, but it didn't occur until after I had mildly borked my system (I've been meaning to reinstall Windows for a while now...). Many programs are suddenly trying to access the internet.

Anyway, there's no malicious intent here, and it can be argued, has been argued in fact, that it's a problem with our systems, not the emulator. Just block it and don't worry about it.

I believe it's something to do with a certificate being checked. I don't think the issue is exclusive to PJ64 though.

OKay. Thanks. Was just wondering what was going on. I had turned off ZA for a while to help my downloads go faster...then when I turn it back on and look in the log I see a bunch of entries where PJ64 has accessed the net or tried to access it.
