AA DOES NOT BLUR. 'kay thanks. Unless you're using either Quincunx or "9-tap" 4x. That or maybe nVidia's AA sucks even more than I was already aware. That "blur", by the way, is better combatted by using Anisotropic Filtering... but make sure you use "Quality", not performance and ESPECIALLY not High Performance if you have a GF FX.

Oh doesn't it now? Lets see my Radeon in action then shall we?

FSAA disabled followed by FSAA enabled:

(note, the FSAA enabled is with MAX QUALITY)

Will a geforce fx 5200 (ill be getting it for $60) be good with my setup? see below this message for details... am not willing to spend over 60 for a new card lol

I myself prefer radeons for laptops, but geforces for desktops...although I wont be buying nor recommend buying anymore nvidia cards unless they quit pulling their recent driver shenanigans like ATI once did (though I don't quite recommend ATI cards either).

Could you show a 3d scene? I'd like to see a comparison of that.

You fucking know what I meant. You have a Radeon 9000. That's a supersampler. Of course it's going to blur 2D text. All supersampling does, except 3dfx's T-Buffer with correct app support (Serious Sam has support for AA with text unaffected).

Try that on a multisampler. I'd do it myself but I'm not sure how much more time I have on this comp.

I hear ya, ill be upgrading from a geforce 2 gts 32 mb so anything is probably better. (of course i'd have to buy another card again at some point) I have one question though does the latest radeons or nvidia cards offer ehancemetns outside of games? like for streaming video or whatever....
