No. The Athlon XP 3200+ is only competitive with the Pentium 4 2.8C or thereabouts. The model number in this instance is inflated.

I knew it, darn marketing schemes, I always feel sorry for the idiot who buys a new shiny peice of hardware when they can easily just overclock without spending a cent. Also your avatar is funny, where did you get it?

EDIT: I have another question. Does my motherboard automatically put my RAM in DualChannel? Or do I have to fiddle with the bios?

Yes it will, as long as you have matching memory sticks installed in the correct slots in accordance with the motherboard manual (varies from board to board).

For me, the message "Dual Channel Mode Enabled" appears just after my CPU is detected when my PC boots up. You can also check if your memory is running in Dual Channel mode by using CPU-Z and clicking on the Memory tab. You will see the word 'Dual' in the 'Channels #' box if your RAM is set up correctly.

i just found out that i actually going to have enough money on the 1st when i get payed! so im going to! finally a kick ass video card! lol
and my mom is going to get me 512MB Of memory :)

Ok, thanks clements, CPU-Z says I have DualChannel. Also what do the timings mean? My RAM is 2.5-4-4-8 is that good? I got the RAM you reccomended to me in my thread.

It Came With Keys weird dident know Cases Had Keys. lol i was reading the manual,
and it soports PC133 Memory wich i have a stick of 128MB so im gonna get everything installed sometime this week! :)
My Motherboard is ECS K8M800-M2
