At your service, dood!
I don't see why auto-purging shouldn't be done now and then, if people with 0 posts haven't used their accounts for six months just delete them - it's not that hard to resign up. Is it? Seriously. If you think its hard go shoot yourself.

Nothing at all, so long as they say "hello" from time to time. :)

I lurk at a lot of boards.
Compared to most mods I'm a lurker myself.
Oh yes.. 'Hello' ;)

As for auto pruning there are numerous ways to acertain activity. Posting isn't as useful an indicator due to people who spam (and have spam written in there tagline area along with huge images and other things). The point people, is that it's not an easy to use indicator. Perhaps pruning people who haven't posted anything for 3 months... I suspect many aren't posting simply because their english isn't particularly good and they spend a lot of time reading the forums instead. Since it's possible to know what people read in the forums, it might work to use this as a secondary indicator. IE reading stuff is as good as posting stuff. The latter is indeed true (considering the interesting questions that are asked at a times). Either way... if something truely needs to be done about it, then it will happen, currently the situation isn't insufferable, intolerable etc.

as long as their is account activity in the past x months, then i agree that they're using their account even though they dont post. i think its the combination of no activity and no post that require pruning. also low post count (less then 5?) with no activity is another reason to prune in combination with no activity in x months.

not that dead accounts bother me in anyway, and if anyone cries wolf about a dead account having their name.. well obviously that person has already registered and would switch names, leaving another dead account (is it possible to have multiple accts on the same ip?)

I dont think you should purge the inactive ones... I was gone for a few months, it would be gay if I had to reregister my name just cause of a vacaiton.

alright... but a 2-years vacation ?
I agree with that auto purge thing, but I guess that it would obviously need like an expiration date, say a year.

you know i`m a new user. And i like this site and all of its forums very much. First i didnt subsribe coz i had nothing to say and i just wanted to know a little bit more of emulators but i kinda fella in love with this site so i decided to subsribe. If you people wanted to keep all you know secret why did you bother to register in a forum where everything you posted would be seen by others. I think that you have the will to help others. and I will do my best to help everyone that needs help, but i have a problem with the internet connection so you don`t have to judge everybody by their posts. It`s true and i agree a lot with you but remember : "It takes only a black sheep to darken the herd.".
