These members do or did post (at least most of them). The problem is that their posts get deleted and their post count returns to zero. This is common for spam bots and users asking for illegal stuff.

Sad thing is that most of them have cool usernames, I tried to change mine but I couldn't, because there's already a member with this name.

In my opinion accounts like those should be deleted. Man, they're simply filling space, some of them aren't active for years. It is a waste.

There are some features, like subscribing to topics, that you need to register to use. That would make sense, at least.
There is nothing wrong with just being around and reading. Many do.

You should see the Opera forum... I have never seen so many active users. Its too overwhelming for me. I sometimes post on PoliticalForum.com but people write waaaay to much and I learn interest very quickly in what many of these fundamentalist nationalist have to say.

I never really liked forums or any of that internet community shit until i came here. This is the only place where I frequently visit (even if that frequncy is limited with my busy time schedule).

Emutalk is proly the best forum community, even if it has over 58% ghosts.

personally i'd delete any accounts not used in the last month or two with 0 post and setup and auto-pruning system. no need for space fillers..

I beleive that to download stuff off of the forums, that you need to register. That might explain some of the inactive members. 90% of the members are inactive, and have 10 posts or less. I agree with the auto prune system, but it should be so those with low post counts, and no activity.
