Actualy would you believe that this computer is my only one without an nvidia card? It a 700mhz p3 with an ati mobility (was made before they made geforce cards for laptops). I guess it could be the drivers, as blizzards website does mention a few problems specific to ATI cards, but not any crashes. I can't speak for everybody else on the forums though....(note theres only one listed issue for geforce cards, and 6 for ATI ??? I hate these cards.)

WC3 sounds just like this game, only in better graphics.

Actually I think its 14 levels in 4 campaigns, except the 4th which has 13. something like that. I coudl be wrong on the exact number of levels but it is only 4 campaigns.
EDIT: Oh I forgot about the Intro campaign with 3 levels, I guess that would be 5.

Well, I don't know if I should get WarCraft 3 ...coz I've got an ATI card (Xpert2000) and I fear that it might run slow on a 650mhz pc ..... has anybody tried it on low specs? Does it hang?
EDIT: oh, forgot - the system requirements is at least a p2 400mhz .... but that doesn't tell whether it runs flawlessly or not

I'm just going off memory here, but I think there are 3 levels in the first (tutorial) campaign, 9-10 in the second, 8 in 3rd and 4th, 7 in last.

i hate to spoil it for you.. but i mean whatever.. this is my opinion.. you might come to love the game..
lets start off with saying that i am a big fan of blizzards work so far.. i play D2 lod almost every day.. and wc3 is not at all a bad game.. it's good game.. but thinking about how much hype it got and the bunch of years they've been promising the game (right after the last wc2 expantion pack).. i'm hardly impressed.. i used to play wc1 and 2 and i think i've played the expantion pack for the 2nd warcraft the most.. i beat this 3rd game in days.. not week.. i played it and only lost on the level where you have to kill the peasents b4 the other guy turns them and kills them.. because i thought there might be some other way of finishing that stage.. then when i played it on hard i had to redo the last mission once.. but i mean.. it was NO challenge compared to WC2.. you can go on playing on b.net alot though.. i did for a while.. but quite frankly.. the game is very good looking and all that.. but that's it.. and it really isn't something i would have spent good money on if i had known that it would just be this..
to me it feels like a fastfood type thing.. it don't feel as worked on as they claim to have worked on it.. and RPG-like?.. lmao.. you probably haven't played an RPG b4 have you?.. you think if you can pick up items, gain exp and get more dmg/def etc it's an RPG?.. hehe.. i bet you class Zelda 2 on the nes as an RPG too.. when even the big N classes it as an adventure game .. if anything.. they added a new ability to the heroes.. the old heroes in wc2 expantion are the same.. only thing missing from them is the exp and picking up items.. so to me.. this whole thing was just a new look.. it's a very nice look.. but sadly.. it feels like a step backwards.. kind of like every big gaming company these days.. everyones making eyecandy.. nobody's making really good games anymore.. it's kinda sad..

I ended the last level yesterday...I love that game

But I have to admit...with my specs the game is a crumble...when too many units come on the screen I see about 1 frame/s

actually.. you CAN kill him.. it's just DAMN hard coz he has SO much life and kills your units with about 2 hits and your heroes with like 3-4.. i would say it's impossible in hard to beat that map this way.. but in normal it's doable.. i've managed to kill of his town and "peasents" using my flying units to hover and do hit and runs all the time.. this was probably the hardest part of it all.. doing that constantly as i had to organise and build defences etc.. create wisps and 2 more camps near the 2 other goldmines.. move the start up camp down to the orcs.. and creating unitz like a nut since they kept dying all the time..
when i manages to kill his hero gate the first time i was SO happy.. then a pesky bunch of monsters came and took out all my flying units near it.. luckylli i had a bunch more on the way.. and since they where weakend i managed to destroy the under work hero gate.. then i aimd all my fire on him.. just for the hell of it.. and it indeed did take some life out of him.. so i continued.. i had monsters all over me.. and he had allready killed off the humans by the time i had revived my heroes.. but i waited since my camp was with the orcs now.. he would come to me.. so after beating most of the undead monsters attacks.. and managing to blow up some buildings.. i used my heroes to slowly lead him into my night elf/orcs camp .. where i had built mega defenses.. so that when he got there.. he was mostly killing my boulder tossing trees .. and well.. his minions are strong (not as unbeatable as he is but very close).. but i made them all spread out.. and then had groups attacking each one with a litle bit of everything at the same time.. he must have spawnd about 15 huge monsters b4 i managed to get close to killing him.. and then he somehow suddenly had more life again.. so i'm not sure but i think he regenerates mana into life or something like that.. so it took a long time to kill him..
i'm not sure if it was luck.. but he managed to kill pretty much everything i had by the time he was dead.. i managed to survive coz of my superior amount of money and my hero gate being still up.. and using vines on his coming monsters to trap em and kill em b4 they killed me..
after i killed him.. i had pretty much nothing other than my hero gate.. a towntree.. and a few wisps.. and a bunch of money from the 3 gold mines.. still.. for a while there i was sure i would be completly overrun since alot of the buildings he had where still up.. and some more peasents where coming out.. i managed to kill and destroy most important buildings b4 his troops got back though.. since his town was still very limited and had terrible defences..
the only thing to fear where the dragons.. but i managed with some archers.. a good tip is to try and make sure his "woodpickers".. don't collect much wood.. since you can use the convert to treetroll spell and use them against the undead instead.. i used it a whole lot.. also.. make sure all your heroes are at lvl 10.. with all their magic abilities and some type of good equipment.. or else this is just not gonna work.. also hire alot of monsters from the merchants.. and one last thing.. use the life fountain.. put a bunch of trees around it.. and keep it closed off so he can't get life with it but that your heroes fitt in there perfectly.. it'll make them survive for a couple of more hits than normal .. now everyone try it .. good luck..
