Various problems

Okay, I've got quite a few problems with my games here, and I'm hoping you guys can help. Any help at all would be appreciated.

1. Starfox 64 - I solved the sound problem using the Azisndlle plugin, but the game now tends to crash after a few minute's play.

2. Road Rash 64 - Sometimes it will work, most of the time I just get a black screen.

3. Body Harvest - Crashes after less than a minute of playtime.

4. Resident Evil 2 - I cannot get this game to work at all.

5. I cannot get my GameCube pad, hooked up to a Skillz adaptor, to rumble using any emulator, but it does work in pc games.

I'm using Project64 1.5 SP1 and often switch between Direct64 v0.5 Alpha, Dabo's Direct3D 1.5.1, Rice 5.6.0 and Rice 5.9.9 video plugins. I either use Dabo's DirectSound 1.5, Zilmar's audio plugin, or Azisndlle for audio. I am using the Nrage's Direct-Input8 V2.1.82 plugin for my Skillz GameCube - PC controller adaptor.

I also use 1964 every now and then, with the same plugins. My machine's specification is as follow's:

Athlon 2500+ Barton
512MB PC2700
MSI K7NG2 nForce2
Radeon 9800 Pro
Soundstorm on-board sound
20GB Maxtor
120GB Seagate
Windows XP Professional, build 2600/SP2

DirectX 9.0c is installed and I'm using the 5.10 nVidia drivers for my motherboard, and Catalyst 4.11 for my graphics card.

5. You could try to find a different driver to use with your gamepad. Are you using the latest official version?

As for the crashing, that's pretty much just what happens in '64 emulators. You could try 1964, which is really unstable, but more compatible.

Thanks for the reply, Poobah.

Yeah, I'm using the official drivers that came with the adaptors, and though I tried using an updated driver I downloaded from Lik-Sang, there's still no rumble in any N64 emulator.

I currently have NEMU64, 1964 and Project64 1.5 installed, but NEMU gets hardly any use at all because it's always giving errors with plugins. Right now though, I have an even bigger problem!

For some reason, I get no sound out of either 1964 or Project64. This happened before on both of them, but while it came back all of a sudden on Project64, there's still nothing on 1964. I had to install again to get it to play with sound. But I don't know what it is I did, but Project64 simply refuses to give any sound, on any game, on any plugin, no matter the settings. And my pc sound settings are fine.

Please help, someone. I even tried disabling my onboard sound and replacing it with a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1, but there's still no sound from either 1964 or Project64 - no matter what plugin I choose.

Did you try running the 3 reg key files in the Project64\Uninstall folder? That will reset all your PJ64 settings. Also try unchecking/checking "Send Audio Lists to Plugin" in the RSP options (setting depends on the plugin, i forget which ones need what). This can also apply to 1964 if you elected to use the RSP plugin from PJ.

Also try this: www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=18093
