For those of you with low specs that find 1.4 slower than 1.3 (in zelda etc...) Try using the 1.4 plugins with 1.3. I've only tested zelda OTT with this method but it seems that most if not all the GFX bugs are fixed 
The LoT works and the reflections too. Quickly checking some other games there doesnt seem to be any problems. The 1.4 sound plugin seems ok too.
Give it a go and post your results!
