3Dnow! only makes a difference when the program uses it extensively (NOT on a driver level) things such as pj64 use it exstensively AFAIK, i can get around 50fps there, but i really want to play games like ut2k3.. i still can play the original ut perfectly though...

Ok,

I just overclocked my k6-2 from 500 to 550 with a voltage of 2.88 (i know it's a bit high, but i have a monster cooling system ) i ran sandra, and to my suprise the results were quite a bit higher than without OCing. check it out: (damn size restriction! ok, i resized it to 720x600, looks crappy quality-wise, but you get the idea. )

not like i dont HAVE a job, it's just that i simply don't get enough to get bad-ass pc parts but this january i'm going to get the latest athlon xp (the fastest they have in january) and the latest nvidia chip. as well as a highly rated motherboard to support it all, hehe getting quite a bit of money in january, im looking forward to it. sorry if the comments were offensive josep, i was just a little pissed at the time, because once i got done payin for the necessities, i had nothing left over for myself

nah, i understand man, thats usually how it is with me my ti4400 card came as a gift, and most of the computer parts as a gift but the hard drive, the ram, the speakers, the moniter, the cd-burner all came from my pocket the only thing i'd really want now would be a dvd-burner, but thats looking waaay into the future

nope, it becomes seconds per frame once it goes slow enough to measure the next step in the "slide show game" with a stopwatch.

As for you guys complaining about money for a PC...$800 can buy you a complete computer that runs these games with the max gfx settings and no less than 60fps...and I mean complete...a 19" monitor....gf4 4200...60g hdd...512mb memory....sound card....mb and athlonxp1900+....and if you want, you can go out and buy those crap cambridge analog 5.1 speakers that everybody seems to like so much, since more than likely you already have half of these parts on hand.

My Geforce 2 is two times stronger then GeForce 4 MX. :angry:
