Unique features in Nemu 0.8

I have just played around with the new Nemu, not playing games, but playing with the GUI and new features.

There are many unique features in this Nemu, not in any other emulators. Many features do make great sense for end user, and you might have overlooked them.

- Netplay

- Movie recording and replay (in what format?)
- Use virtual save files (how to use this feature?)
- Pause and active pause (what's the difference?, but I believe they make differences)
- Turn error on/off
- Support both Lemmy D3D8 plugin and other video plugins. But Lemmy D3D8 plugin does not work with other emulators. I heard Lemmy D3D8 is capable to work as Zilmar spec compatible emulators, them must have taken out such a feature for purpose. Of course Lemmy D3D8 supports many other Nemu only features, such as debugger features.
- Full featured debugger for both main CPU core and plugins

Video plugin:
- Color combiner editor
- Free camera movement, you will have fun with this feature
- Texture dumpper (to VRML?)
- Texture browser
- CIMG tracing (probably used to fix flickering problems in games such as Paper Mario.)
- Force Z clear (could help many games with graphics glitches, try it by your own)
- Disable texture cache - Could help to solve incorrect texture loading problems, of course it will be slower.

Someone can help me to understand this features better.

The difference is Active Pause enables you to change graphics plugin settings and to see the results instantly! It works as well.

VRML

There is a geometry dumper, but I have to figure out again how it works :)

I think it saves to some fixed filename. like c:\something.vrml or d:\something.vrml

no textures are exported that way.

zorbid: thats dott. that was a really really great game!

Yeah, that's DOTT :) I love these Lucas Art Classics.
I assume you know ScummVM and DOSBox... (notice the nice scaler ;))

Re: VRML

That's a screen shot of the first game. The second one is called day of the tentacle but doesn't really matter since both of those games rock.

I know that, the real point of the screenshot was to show the scaler in the upcoming version of DOSBox.

But, ermm... we should get back on topic (although I don't have anythig relevant to tell right now, except the fact that although most of these features have a small potential audience, I sure that some people will be very happy to play with them :))... Please split the thread if it goes too far.
