*cough* Useless to YOU maybe, but those "effects" can be disabled to get a faster system. Some of us wants shiny desktops you know?*resources which just used for some gimmicks with the desktop! But those (unnecessary) resources will really blown down your system!
That's pure nonsense. Vista can run well on a number of machines. You don't need "massive machines" to run Vista. It's still as usable as XP, though there are of course, compatibility problems, that will be solved with time.Sorry, but there is definitely NO reason to use vista atm. It's slow, you need massive machines to get it working well and then it's still not as usable as xp.
Plus... it's nothing but a colourful xp with neat effects, a new networking stack and a new security model (which sucks).
With those unpleasable hotfixes, yeah.Doom said:That's pure nonsense. Vista can run well on a number of machines. You don't need "massive machines" to run Vista. It's still as usable as XP, though there are of course, compatibility problems, that will be solved with time.
Do you know a machine that has less than 256 / 512 MB memory? If it does, then it probably shouldn't use either XP or Vista. For real? Vista does "only" need 512 mb of ram dude! I think win98 did use 64m
Dolphin works there but i dont think at the same speed like on xp!
But i wont discuss with you cause you would know it better^^
