two controllers with one adaptoid?

i would like to hook multiple n64 controllers though 1 adaptoid. is this possible? i thought there was a splitter that used to plug into the console years ago but can't find any info. Any ideas? thx.

Not sure if its possible or not though input's would get confused and the controlers would likely interfere with each other
