TUTORIAL:How to make your games (specially SoulCalibur) bootable

I've used all selfboot programs & here's the best method for making bootable games(specially for Soulcalibur & DOA2LE)
Sorry for bad English... I try to be understood!

1.a.Download Fastboot
http://www.mutretaespoleta.com.br/fastboot/FastBoot.zip
(moderators please tell me if there's a problem with this link)
1.b.Download BINHACK from here:
http://www.mutretaespoleta.com.br/fastboot/binhack.zip
2.Unzip both into a folder ex:"c:\fastboot\"
3.Copy all files from CD or Image & paste them in "c:\fastboot\data".
4.Cut 1st_Read.BIN & IP.BIN in "data" dir & paste it in program's root dir ("c:\fastboot\").
5.Run "binhack.exe"
6.Type 1st_read.bin then press "enter"
7.Type IP.BIN then press "enter"
8.Type 0,0 then press "enter"
9.Now cut IP.BIN & !st_Read.BIN again & paste them in "data" dir.
10.Now run "b2b_game.bat" & wait.
11.This file will create an image file called: "image.CDI".
12.Mount this image using Daemon Tools V3.29 (Don't use V3.46 it won't work.)

it could work with v3.46, its depend of your system...

and i cant help you for grammar, since i'm not sure of my words too... :happy:

currently my SoulCalibur image is a few 100 thousand files and dirs that are all ascii garbage ( learned that from extracting it , deamon wont mount it , now i cant delete some of the dir's )..... i'm hopeing it was just a bad dump and not my bba .. grabbing it agin ... 1035mb ug!

in that case its an image of your gdrom, it will not work with this tutorial, you have to extract the file of your .iso file (winiso can do that), and create a cd with the file you have extracted, and then you could use the fastboot process...

3 days of googling and now i have a program name .. winiso - 30 seconds of google and i got it .. thanks

*EDIT* i found a tool called extract .. works and it's freeware.

Download IP.BIN here ---> http://www.mutretaespoleta.com.br/fastboot/boot.rar

Inside this have a 1ST_READ.BIN (discard, it's from MVCS2 selfboot) and a IP.BIN (this universal IP.BIN) :bouncy:

Try opening ISO, and delete a dummy.dat or other .DAT Greather than 100mb... and use a fastboot method again

ChAnkA_RuLz, other than grammar being spelled with an e instead of an a, that was pretty much flawless. A real English speaker would've said "Sorry for my bad English," but I've seen a lot worse from native speakers.

hello,

tnx for the file ;)

ive got some problems here

looks like b2b_game.bat doesn't create anything to me...
at the end of the process there's not a cdi file in the main dir...

another thing you have to know, you need lot of space on your hd, more than twice the required space before you launch the process (it mean that when you put all the files in the data directory, you need the required space for the tmp files, and the required space for the image.iso file) or it will not work, or it will work but the image file will be cut...

i did everything step by step but when i try to load the image in the emulator i get an error and after that the emu close..
no luck :(

ip and 1st are in the data dir...

no cdi or tmp files are created...

just an iso that , of course, is deleted after creation... as .bat file states.
