Similar problem here

I'm having a "too much fps" problem in Soul Calibur. It was a bit slow in my previous computer (P4/[email protected]) but on my new one (AMD64/3000+@3800+) it's so fast it's almost unplayable. Most of the time the fps is higher than 100fps.

Is there any way to limit the maximum frame rate?

Oh well, at least now Dead or Alive 2:LE runs alright... it was _extremely_ slow in my old p4 ;)

I am able to limit the framerate to exactly 60fps by enabling vsync in my Forceware drivers and setting my monitor refresh rate to 60Hz.

Hummm. The screen refresh thing really helped.

I would expect a solid 60/60fps in my case, but it kept going up and down around 50 and 60... especially when "in game". I guess it's as good as it gets with the current chanka.

At least now it's playable. Thanks! :)
