Millions if not Billions of pounds were spent gathering information for the census and some of the information gathered has been released recently. So what have we found from this major investment?
The most interesting thing is that despite threats of legal action for not completeing census forms and an army of collectors pestering people to return forms, the authorities seem to have about 1,000,000 people missing and therefore have had to 'ESTIMATE' a lot of the results.
Perhaps those 1,000,000 people have left these shores to find a country where the government doesn't waste so much time and money.
The study has also revealed that for the first time in Britain, there are more people over the age of 60 than under the age of 16. OK so if we have an excess of old people and a shortage of young people, why are all the schools full and the bingo halls empty?
