It is always a lot of things to be done, but which feature do you believe to be more important for you?

I've voted the support for rare games, would a new release of 1964 do a part of the job? :1964:

What! No all of the above. :p

great work Rice. Maybe we can exchange ideas on the framebuffer emulation.

I plumped for Better graphics effects with 2xSAI, bilinear, or better DirectX combiner and OpenGL 1.2/1.3/1.4 combiner. Hard choice, as I was going to vote for the Rare game support, but then I thought that improved accuracy for games that already run is a more logical step.. but it would be great to play JFG using your plugin, but it would be better if games like Mario and Zelda had those 2XSAI textures so utilised in other great emulators like ZSNES, Gens, Snes9x and VisualBoyAdvance.. At the end of the day, it's your call- all of those options seem reasonable to me. Just keep up the fine work! :D

I voted for better supporting to low end video cards with DirectX, or/and OpenGL as i am considerate of other peoples low end video cards:saint: and I got a laptop with a low end card:doh: . Whatever you are going to do Rice i look forward in seeing it progress:)

I plumped for non-popular games.

I was thinking of any games that Jabos has problems with.

That way the whole range of games could be covered and made playable.

I've seen Mario and DKR a hundred different ways now.

But lets face the facts, when it comes down to it we should all be happy with whatever does come out of a plugin by any author.

1. Because it's free and given as a gift by people who work hard on making them.

2. Because it's fuckin impressive, because myself and a load of other people wouldn't even have a clue where to start making one ourselves.

I say, do whatever is most interesting to you.

We're gonna enjoy it regardless. :)

I kind of agree with Icepir8's statement, no all of the above. I voted for games that arent as much played. But I also am a big fan of Games by Rare as well, and would like it also.. I think if games like Tetris 64, or body harvest, or Mortal Kombat which are slow on many plugins would work, I think that I would prefer that. I also say Rare games are difficult to emulate.
If you ask me Rice; Compatibility any with game should be your focus, I think we have seen enough Mario 64's working perfectly from every plugin available, just do something that is unique, something that Jabo's plugin probably couldnt do.
Just keep up the good work, you are doing great.

Better and faster framebuffer emulation here. Framebuffer emulation is the only the only thing that slows down N64 emulation signifigantly on my PC.

Hi rice ! :)

It make some time hé ! :)

So , i voted for rare games but , it's not my exact choice..

I would voted for "Better compatibility" if this section was proposed..

I think it's the first goal , before all graphx effect and speed etc..

I prefer a plugin that make 20 game runs perfectly than And other one that make 199 games working partialy or sometime bugged.. :)

That's all
Thx for all ur work rice

A Great Idea this vote ! :)

As you said, the best option would be "better compatibility" but sadly the option isn't here, maybe because he tries every release to be more compatible with every game, maybe...

Faster speed of course! People with low-end comps (like me :D ) are still searching for a plugin with fast speed!

Mightyrocket maybe you have to insert a plugin directly on your computer XD
Maybe one like athlon XP 2800 and 512 mb DDR..... and the mobo plugin, too.... XDDD

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
My opinion? That's better framebuffer. It's practically the only thing missing in plugins and would emulate lots of new features on the n64 (like the transparent menu in oot).

Ya know, you could take that time spent searching and go earn you some money to build a high-end system. :)

I wish you wouldn't have a plugin dedicated to all standards ie: directx and opengl, because its difficult to maintain such a thing, it would be easier to maintain one standard at a time, but thats me.... :p

just a thought.

Rice you've heard from me via email. Obviously I'm a GoldenEye die-hard so I vote for more Rare games support.

To me, emulation is worth upgrading my system for, so making a plug-in that is geared towards low end systems doesn't seem worthwhile to me.

I guess my point is this. Instead of trying to cover all the ground and improve all games, it seems more prudent to concentrate on the popular titles. Rare is the company that provided those! I suppose this also depends on why you work on this project and whether or not mainstream appeals to you or not. Making the plug-in specific to a couple of games even (GoldenEye and PD) would make the efforts more than worthwhile. If you look at the sales of Nintendo 64 multiplayer games, these two are at the top or right near it. You could argue that a game like Mario Kart sold more, but the fact is this will be onine with the GameCube soon.

So, if you are looking at the future or the bigger picture, speaking specifically of online play, it makes sense to concentrate on the multiplayer games. If you can improve those games with your plug-in, then you've upped the ante. The games would be a more worthwhile experience that many more people will be interested in, especially if you said the word "online" Nintendo 64. People would be scratching their heads...then they would be hitting the ground once they actually saw how amazing PD looks emulated.

This is all relevant to the poll at hand. If you see the future as on-line emulation, then concentrating on the top multiplayer titles makes sense. That is my opinion. Again, PD and GE alone would cause a ripple in the gaming world. That may sound funny but c'mon let's be honest here. The Nintendo 64 is a bloody incredible system when you can see it emulated on 1964 on a PC monitor. The reality this isn't old school at all.

Rare all the way. I think I made my point....

I actully think Space Station Silicon Valley needs some video support, no plugin in the world can emulate this game properly.

it might be better to focus on roms that don't display at all or are very bad with all plugins.

I think it is not bad for Space Station Silicon Valley, at least from the demo. Does anyone play further stages? Can anyone summary video problems of this game?
