Well chancast ever be able to take advantage of the old sega dreamcast internet servers?

Also i read some info that the opened the dreamcast servers once again after they closed them(does anyone know if this true?)

aren't you supposed to pay for it to get on them (like with xbox live)? cause it would be cool to see it, but i guess not much people will use it if you need to pay for it (not sure about the paying, but i thought i heard that somewhere)
