Terrible Sound Issues

I'm running XP/P4 3.6Ghz/X600/2GB RAM/EMU 1820M Audio interface/PJ 1.6.

I get terrible stuttering with "zimlars Audio Plugin" regardless of buffer size - actually buffer size only seems to dictate the length of gap between each individual stutter. No sound at all with either Jobo's Direct Sound or Azimers HLE.

Maybe it's an issue with my audio card, but can any one tell me how it's solved? Even a guess would be appreciated.

It feels like the video is running at a much higher priority than the audio, and causing it to choke. Going to full screen helps a noticeable amount, but still poor.

Mabey update your sound driver or get your computer a cheak up you might have a error.
