Terrible performance, High end computer Vista x64

So.. my GC has stopped working long ago and I decided to take off the dust of some games, I first tried SSBM, successfully got it's iso in my PC and tried Dolphin, both the beta and stable versions. The FPS is VERY low, arround 2fps in the menu where we choose the character, can't even see the start animation or it will freeze there.

Here are my computer specs:

Vista Ultimate x64
Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz
Asus P5K Deluxe
4GB Ram Corsair XMS2 4-4-4-12
Raid 0+1 Setup 4x320GB
Geforce 8800GTX.

I've tried to run in compatibility mode and some tweaks, nothing has changed. Also the sound delays a lot, sometimes it doesn't play at all.

Did you turn on Dynarec and Use Multiple Cores in the Emulation menu? Heh, based on those PC specs, SSMB is going to be running damn fast with those settings on

Oh and sound emulation in that game is mostly broken.

Make sure you're actually USING the damn x64 build too, that's the big thing.

I'm using the x64 version otimized for multiple cores.

Ok... I enabled the Dynarec feature in "Emulation" option.. Amazing, now the game is too fast lol. It's like 10x the original speed, still no sound. Any clues?

Well, as I already said in my earlier post, it will be running damn fast. There is no way to remedy this. And sound emulation in that game is mostly broken.

Try antigap that fixed mine on this vista laptop.

To slow it down, I suppose you could try vsync in the nvidia control panel but i'm not actually sure if that works (been a while.)
