Where can I get a ROM for this game?

Just kidding. My real question:

After extensively reading the User Manual, I'm still slightly confused. Why is SSB running so slow? Something about graphic cards.... @_@ I'm not sure.

I'm a bit confused- anyone willing to help?

And I thought I knew a lot about computers...

What are your computer specs. For most cards you can use Glide64 0.8 wonder and use the wrapper included with it.

I wish I could tell you but...

how DO I check my computer specs?

I feel like such a n00b...

All I know is that I'm running off XP.

To get info about your processor, motherboard and memory try CPU-Z. Sometimes Windows also will be kind enough to tell you your CPU and memory info if you right-click My Computer (either on the Start menu or the Desktop) and click properties. For graphics card specs... um... I dunno

On most pcs you will shortly see a message with information about the graphics card (chipset type, amount of memory and manufracturer) when you boot them up. I wish I could help you from within the Windows XP environment, but I've got the Dutch version installed on my pc, so I don't have a clue how everything's called in the English version.

for your specs, go to start then click run and type "dxdiag" without quotes. That will give you all your specs you need.

from the pj64 website...
"Do you have a list of cards that run Project64 badly?
No, but I can name a few: (at the time of writing) anything Intel, anything Matrox, any ATI older than Radeon, any nVidia older than TNT, any 3dfx older than V4, any SiS, any S3. "

Thats only your video card, whats the rest? go to my computer right click and hit properties too like the other guy said before.

It'll usually be something like this: (this is mine)

Computer:

Northgate
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ 1.83Ghz
512 MB of RAM

The 'Intel 82815 Graphics Controller' is an on-board graphics processor.

Most on-board graphics processors don't work well with anything, let alone HLE as used in many N64 emulators. Only solution here is to get a dedicated GFX card.
