Super Smash Bros. Question

What is the best audio and video configuration for playing Smash?

glN64 makes it so the 2d sprites in smash work, but the game is slow and skippy.

The original plugin plays the game at perfect speed, but the 2d sprites don't rotate to face the screen like they're supposed to.

Is there a happy-medium for getting it to work better?

Because you used a DBZ character's name (I'm a HUGE DBZ fan) I'll help you out. Use Evoodoo 4.99 with Glide64 v0.42 to get the GFX around 95% (Pikachu is the only one with a MINOR gfx error and the 2-D textures are 100%). That's what I use, but I'd advise using it with 1964 instead, with schibo's sound plugin. Let mean know what your results are...oh........AND WATCH OUT FOR THE EVIL CONTAINMENT WAVE!!!!

Well, my results are not exactly as great as you said they should be. some of the little dust clouds that appear under character's feet as they dash or stop from dashing is black instead of its intended texture, the "Super" and "Bros." in the title is black instead of the color it's supposed to be, and the percentage numbers are black instead of their intended colors.

yeah, ummm.....i don't think that Glide was worth it.....i'd prefer not to see some of the 2d sprites correctly than to see the special effects as nothing but black.

Yeah, that's the best results you can get with PJ64, i know, the only problem with it, and i mean ONLY problem with it is that the 2D sprites don't work properly (rotating to always face the screen), and Samus's blast doesn't show up except for a little white dot.

samus's blast is screwy on 1964 too. i wonder whats so different about it?

did you use the versions that i said? that's really strange, because my GFX are REALLY good. The only glitch i have with Evoodoo and Glide64 is that Pikachu's neck is kinda whitish. I'm sorry piccolo, but it works for me...

wait a second....Evoodoo 4.99? the Evoodoo website only has up to version 2.229....where do i get version 4.99?

I believe he meant evoodoo 3.99 which you can get in the downloads section under glide wrappers.
