STOP Error and Memory problem

ok here is the deal, i am using the second latest version of project 64, i read the rules and it said to use the latest version if you have a problem but it's not a good idea for me.

anyways im not using the current version because of the "failed to allocate memory problem" i looked at older threads and all their ways to fix it didn't work, the only one that seemed like it would work is to remove a system update which im not willing to do, so im using an older version

but with my older version, it works pretty well except after a random while i get a STOP error (a blue screen), but my computer isn't set to show the blue screen so it just reboots.

this has happened twice since i started using pj64 again (i stopped for a while), if you wan't i can post the stop error details even tho i don't know what is with them

could u please help me? fix either problem that is, my guess is the newer version fixes this error but i can't even open the newer version

Do have WinXP Hot fixes installed? If you do, getting rid of all of them (which
is a very annoying thing to do) will most likely fix the "Failed to allocate memory" issue. But as far as the BLue Screen of Death, I don't know.

Ive never removed any hotfixes EVER and PJ64 works fine. I would suggest a re-install of XP. If you dont have XP... get it!

No, No, No! you don't want XP. Do a fresh reinstall of Windows 3.1! It will work wonders! :) seriously though. I have all the hotfixes and it works fine for me.

Your system is unstable, likely because your processor core is clocked too high, a power supply problem or a motherboard problem. It's possible that you also have bad capacitors on your motherboard.

You should test it with Prime95.

LOL! There wouldn't even be any 3D support at all with that OS!

if your PC is randomly rebooting, then its most likely a hardware fault, not windows or PJ. I would have a memory test to see if you have bad ram or downclock if any of your components are overclocked.

it can be video drivers related too, happened to me sometimes (with other games)
