Could you please list:

  1. Your system specifications... graphics card, CPU speed, OS, DX version etc
  2. Name a couple of games you are trying to run? Are they good dumps?
  3. Do you have problems with any other games on your computer, is it unstable?

1. 700mhz, AMD Duron, 128mb SD Ram, 20gb harddrive, 8mb graphis card, Windows 98 SE

2. Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64

3. My computer is usually always stable and I have other emulators for other systems and they work fine. All my games work fine.

Meh...
could be the amount of ram. when running PJ64 try to close all the programs you dont need to use and run PJ64. see if that'll help.

What is the name of the graphics card? Being only 8mb though all indications point to that as being the problem.... I'm going to have a stab in the dark and say it is a Pro Savage card, or something similar.

Solution? Use Glide64 + Evoodoo for now, if you do have a Savage card I believe their is some kind of fix for stability problems out there (something to do with AGP Latency)

2. Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64

Mario Kart should work perfectly with Glide64 + Evoodoo, however Perfect Dark is unlikely to work satisfactorily regardless of the plugins you use (it's an intensive game on the CPU). At the very least use 1964 for Perfect Dark, it is slightly faster.

All in order on that part then.
