speaker question

What's that...?
ok, let me explain what the deal is first. the way my computer is set up, i have a 3.5 mm audio jack that goes out from my computer, and is split into RCA cables (right and left) and connects to a subwoofer. Then, from the subwoofer, their is a left cable that goes out to the left speaker, and a right cable that goes out to the right. what i wanna do is split the signal that goes from the left, and split the signal that goes to the right. i wanna do this because i wanna hook up another stereo to my computer. do audio out splitters exist, so i can have a splitter in the right output that splits one signal into two, and a splitter in the left output that splits one signal into two. help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i figured you could buy em, but radio shack didn't sell any, and i didn't even think about the volume being dropped...i guess this wouldn't be too good of an idea

You split your stereo jack from your computer into two rca plugs... red and white... correct? It's pretty simple to get a y-splitter for an rca plug, get one with three female connections or get one with a male input, use an rca coupler to connect your wire to your splitter, and the outputs of your y-splitter should be female simply connect another rca wire to your chosen stereo.

Hopefully this works for you... it's what i did to connect my stereo and tv to my computer.
