I am having problems with sound. The graphics work at an acceptable speed for me ~ 27 fps for Roadster trophy but sound is broken and it stops for few micro seconds throughout the game. What could be the solution ?

Thanks

from Troubleshooting > Sound in the manual:

Before you ask for help, please take yourself through the following questions:

1. Are you running the game at the correct speed*? If the answer to this question is no, and you are below the correct speed, you have a performance problem, not an audio problem.

there are links in there with suggestions.

* enable the "sync game to audio " in jabo sound options when the game is running

or * try with "Azimer 056 WIP1" sound plugin

or * try another emu, like 1964 0.99, it requires less cpu usage

Your Main Problem is the lack of Power, 800 Mhz and an integrated graphics controller aren´t the best to emulate a console like a N64 :p
Try the things ggab mentioned, if this does not work, your last chance is to upgrade your processor and buy a new graphics card :plain

YES ! The graphics take more power of CPU as compared to sound..But the graphics run at an acceptable pace on my PC.. Its only sound that is causing problems...

Need ur views .. thanks

Your specs are a bit low but you can speed things up a bit.

Try Updating graphic drivers and use Jabos Gfx plugin 1.4,use Jabos 1.5 sound and use Mupens Rsp with process alist by rsp defined plugin and use azimer hle audio v0.55.1 alpha in the box.

Also set computer to 16bit this should help a little as well.

you don't understand.. it's an emulator. the whole system (core/video/audio) is locked together. if the core slows down, what are you supposed to do? lower the audio pitch? we just have the audio plugin wait for more data (i.e. a gap). games must run at exactly the right speed to have smooth sound. the right speed is 60VIs for NTSC or 50 for PAL.
edit: tried to explain that better. the manual is not totally clear here either ill try to improve it..

Thank u for all of ur views ... I am playing around with PJ64 trying differnet configurations .. I wana ask that when I configure RSP plugin and check the "send audio lists to audio plugin" the sound becomes like a "permanent roar" but a notice at least 10 fps improvement also.. amazing! What is the reason and solution to this ....
