Some Questions

I was reading the directions in PJ64s V1.6 about verifying the ROMs and it said, "you'll need to download the following files" one of them being a file called bin.zip containing zlib.dll. Only problem is I can't figure out where to download this particular file (I've searched everywhere and I can't seem to find it, and yes I checked all the links they gave). Does anyone know where I can find this file?

My second question has to do with the in game audio: I keep hearing little popping sounds from when playing a game - nothing major just kind of annoying and I was wondering if others have experienced this and can it be fixed (again it's very minor but still I'm wondering)?

Here are my basic system specs in case anyone needs to know:

CPU:E6850@stock
RAM: PC2-6400 2x1GB
GFX:8800GTX@stock
OS:Vista Home Premium 32bit
Sound:Realtek 5.1 HD onboard audio

You don't really need to download any extras other that the updated RDB file.
you can download the needed extra DLL file from a DLL repository like www.dll-files.com, or skip all that and download RomCenter with an up to date N64 dat file.

As for the sound issue, enable Sync Game to Audio in the audio plugin config and see if that helps. If not, update your audio drivers.

Okay I downloaded ROMCenter but I'm having trouble finding an up to date N64 dat file <---- I'm guessing that's needed to actually see which ROMs are good or not? I found a file at the website that said Nintendo FMS, or something like that; is that the right one?

And thanks, enabling Sync Game to Audio worked - well it did for the most part, I only played for a couple of seconds but it seemed to be gone.

Oops, my mistake. It's the only Nintendo one I saw on there under data files and I guess I assumed that would work for 64. The problem is that I don't really know exactly what I'm looking for (I'm assuming it's an up-to-date data base of working 64 ROMs but theres a long list of them and I'm not sure which one I need). Thanks anyway though; I guess it really doesn't matter too much as I've played a bit of the ROM I have, and it seems to be working okay.

Thanks, but I'm fine with "a" windows Vista.

Project64's ROM Browser is [usually] good enough to tell you whether a ROM is good or bad.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's fine; I've been playing it quite a bit and I haven't run into any problems yet, so I think it's fine.
