1. is the version 3.1 or 4.0(xx?) legit for download? if it is (please don't count this against me, mods :) ) could someone hit me up a link?

2. in what way is turbo C++ different from C++?

3. how do you get the \ sign working? simply pressing the button yields this # symbol instead.

Turbo C++ is only a compiler, and a variation of the MS dos editor Edit. There ins't a difference between programming in Turbo C++ and any other MS Dos C++ compiler. Version 3 is "legit" and I will not provide any links, go to borderland instead. And I have no idea about the \ sign, sorry.
