Snes9x looks fine to me, although I am a bit of a special case insofar that I have it running with advmame's scale2x filter on my TV with a Gamecube no less!

That's the same for me  The first console emu i've ever touched was snes9x , i found the Win-integrated GUi very good ( i can't befriend myself with zsnes own gui ) , so i've stayed at snes9x ;)
My first emu was SNES9x, too, but ZSNES was better, after trying some things and I stay with ZSNES!

BTW Clement: why using only hq3x not hq4x? Doesn't want to let it look so much better than SNES9x? :p

Yeah, I'd have to resize the image down from 1280x1024 :p

Anyhoo, I also started with Snes9x and used it for a while before I discovered ZSNES. Initially the GUI was a bit odd, but now I know the program in and out. The reward I got in switching was great.

In the same way, I switched to Kega Fusion for Megadive after using Gens, and I switched to Gens after using DGen for a while when I started emulation.

For Master System, I also switched from FreezeSMS to Kega Fusion, and now I'll probably switch to Gens Plus for it's superior video modes when it gets a little less buggy.

I switch emulators all the time when I discover a better one, and thus I seem to collect them. :p

Really... but you seem to "forget" the older emulators. ZSnes was superior before, but snes9x has caught up with them. Mainly because they share knowledge with each other, I guess.
Snes9X is ideal for emulation if you know how to use it. It's all that matters to me. Unless you're really picky!
