"Slow Sound"... do you mean the sound is lowering the FPS? This is a well known issue. And disabling sound sync will remove the problem, but give you poor sound quality.

i mean that the video is at a smoth rate, but every time i make a sound effect ( ie use the sword in zelda ) it comes a few seconds latter and chugs ( just the sound not the video ).

I don't know what to say, but to tell you this... Look at my system (it's in my sig) I have stuttering problems in those games as well... But, that's just a little static in-game...

Just to get the issue straight, the sound is seriously lagged? If you were to slash, lets say, the wall... Would the sound normally happen, or it will take a slight period of time after you hit the well and then make the sound?

You might want to try Azimer's Audio Plugin... 0.40 Beta or 0.30, whichever works better. I recommend it to people with problems with audio in general (not really slow computer, because, well... I use it as well). Just change the audio plugin to this (Options, Settings, scroll down for the appropriate plugin) and do one more step after that, go to options, RSP, and tick Send Audio Lists to Audio Plugin (the first one) but, remember to untick it whenever you are not using Azimer's Audio plugin.

If you are using Jabo's DLL. Try reducing the Buffer Size. If you are using mine, keep the buffer size on the second notch from the left. This should reduce that latency.

Jabo's does not have an adjustable buffer, Zilmar's does but its such a simple plugin I wouldn't recommend that... so yer best output is from Jabo's (which just works fine for most people) or Azimer's (which has options so hopefully can work fine for most people).
