slow all of a sudden

hi

ive been using nemu8 for some time and it worked perfectly for me with all my games but im gonna focus on mario party 2. all of a sudden the sound is slow. i think it was when i tried using kaillera for the first time, it stalled and i restarted my comp and i didnt bother trying again. now i try playing mp2 (and all my other games) again and its slow for no reason.

i didnt change anything and nothings wrong with my specs, it might not have anything to do with using kaillera but thats what i think caused this. im sure its got something to do with the emulator itself.

ive tried rebooting my comp, (which usually solves most slow down problems) changing plugins (gfx,sfx) but its all the same.

can anyone tell what really happened and anyway to fix it?

(as a last resort, i can use 1964 if i have to, but i REALLY wanna stick with nemu, cos i have problems with 1964 as well that ill post later if i need to)

I don't know if this will have any effect, but try turning down your sound acceleration. Or ever try turning it off.

Just an idea.

thx its a little better but still a little slower than it was before. any more ideas?

Did you tune the sound plugin at all? My friend that his speed was boosted when he turned off the "High Quality" feature.

i did, its at its default... anyway i fixed it myself by deleting most of the background tasks. thx for ur help anyway

if anyone needs to delete background stuff, delete before they startup.

start-program files-accessories-system tools-system information. then go under "tools"-system configuration utility. now use the "startup" tab to modify.
