but i can't find the link to the game faq, and i'm tryin to find out how to get mortal kombat runnin at above 5fps. If any one has any tips on this i'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Ps: The link to the game faq will do tho. Cheers

Pss: Allo to you all :bunny:

.:Edit:.

Basically what i want to know is, is there a plugin that'll run mortal kombat nicely. The project64 startup screen (is that what u call it???) says that there are issues with the default plugins, but the core is fine. I really don't have a clue as to which plugin to try. Tips pls?

.:Edit2:. Sorry for all this rambling but it's 7:45am and i haven't slept all night :plain2:

.:Edit3:. It might help to know that i'm trying to run it on this system:

#Celeron 900 (100fsb)
#512Mb SDRam (Running at 133Mhz)
#Geforce 2 Ti
#And a crapy Soltek Via based Mobo with o/b sound- Which i loath and can't wait to replace with a good ol' BX based board.

.:Edit4:. Do you think anyone has ever manged to take their own thread off topic before..... without getting any replies???????

?????????????????????????
The gamefaq comes with pj when you download it.
Check in the directory where you put pj and you'll find it.

Some games, like Mortal Kombat, use a texture caching scheme that's not well supported in the plugin. If other plugins don't help, you're out of luck I'm afraid.

Make sure you have Direct3DHAL!

You may have accidently put your gfx plugin setting for
"RGB Emulation".

Other settings, make sure they are at:

Counter Factor: CF2

Advanced Block Linking: Off

I hope the above will help.

I know you've probably already done this, but since no-one mentioned it... check that you're using the recompiler, not the interpreter, and that you don't have FSAA or anisotropic filtering on in the graphics options.

One more thing

DO NOT use the interpreter.
PJ64's interpreter is SLOW even with a faster processor.
