I downloaded the cdi's, Daemon tools, the bin files, and the Fix for SoA....but whenever I try to run the game..Chankast just locks up and does nothing....anyone else have this problem?

How can I fix it?

Ok sweet....I got everything fixed on it now....

BUT (of course) SoA wont loadup in the emu...it just keeps asking me for Date and Time settings.....anyone have any clue how to get this thing to work?

OK, where do I start? Well, first off, you should edit your first post, rather than add new ones. Also, you shouldn't make two separate threads for the same game with the same issues. That aside, the reason the emu kept asking for the date and time, was your bios files got sorrupted. The american bios (with the red swirl) works just fine, it's the one I use. Just replace the corrupted set with a fresh copy that hasn't been altered yet.

This exact same thing happend to me a few times too. It doesn't matter what bios you use it seems to me that they become corrupted if you push any buttons when it's showing the dreamcast logo. I always push start to try and make things go faster during the swirl part but all it does is mess up the bios.

You can always turn on the "Read Only" Attributes of the bios, so that it will not be altered. Simply explained: right click one of your bios files, choose Properties from the menu that pops up and at the bottom of the new window put a check in "Read Only"

well i got everything to work fine now...but I've downloaded 2 different versions of this game and they both come up in spanish....

theres the one uploaded by atreyu187, which is an ech version..the 1st one i downloaded and it came up in spanish....

then theres the [dc] 2 disk set version i got that is also in spanish....

both of these I got off of Emuparadise torrent tracker....im sure if you search for the game there you will come up with the same things I did...

is there no english version out there?

also i read something about the blue swird and red swird between euro and american dreamcast bios.....does that have anything to do why its coming up in spanish or no?

probably a more important question....has anyone actually downloaded this game in english and gotten it to work....and if so...what file base do you have?

im not asking where you got it...just what version you downloaded

Well I'm just a starter of DC emu so my suggestion may be wrong...
Hmm. I'm almost sure that EP tracker holds a US version of SoA ripped by Echelon.
Maybe the game is multilanguage??
I've read some info here on emu-talk that you may have to set your bios language
to english. If you're using Jap bios (the one with red swirl) you have that
language in the options. (I don't know about US or any other bioses).

I'm preety positive that changing your bios to Jap or US should solve your problem.

i know for a fact that the game is multi language...however im using the blue swirl euro bois....the actual speech in the game (ei: characters talking during battle) is in english...but everything else is spanish. I remember back when i bought the game when it first came out...it had all kinds of languages on the back...and multiple flags...so im sure its multilanguage

if you have any insight on this...you will be my new hero, hehe

Emuparadise should hold some of the DC bioses on their main page.
link removed(sorry Have to read faq's beofre posting)

And you can set language when you click on "start" menu when you don't
have any games loaded. This will take you to bios configuration screen from
where you can set your bios language. (remember that sometimes chankast
may corrupt your bios file so always make backups)

But if you'll have Jap bios the default language I have set was US English.
It may be due to that I get a special preset version of emu from one of
the Pmuparadise forum members. :D

No problem. BTW Could you remove link to the EP page in your quote. :D

As for saving games you can only do this via memcard.

Hmm, its kinda frustrating having the game, having a dc, but not being able to burn the second cd...hehe. was this just bad ripping by the group that did it?
