Is there any way to start the emulator with the show stats option off? Everytime I uncheck it and restart the emulator, it is always checked!

No, I don't think so. If the option doesn't stay unchecked, then it is clearly a bug in the code.

Maybe your chankast.cfg is marked as read only, uncheck this option.

I checked Chankast.cfg and its not read-only. Can anyone else get this option to stay unchecked or is it just me?
