@Lex: Which dock app are you using? I've been thinking of making an OS Xish desktop for a while, and am trying to decide between ObjectBar, MobyDock, and Y'z Dock.

Anyway... here's my desktop. Be warned, if you take your entire desktop PC on vacation and set up in a tiny resort living room, and then proceed to post desktop pics in spite of a horrid 9.6 kbps connection, you just might be a junkie.

Yeah, it's Windows XP. I use a WindowBlinds port of KDE's Plastik theme. The calendar app is called RainLendar.

IceFox38, eck! the image file size you attached is majorly large for only 800x600. Even with 1024x768, the image file can be majorly smaller than the image file you attached. Next time, you should compress the image file down to at least 90 KB, which requires JPG, because PNG can't compress as much as JPG.

The same image you attached can be smaller, if you have a good image editing
application.
